League 2 - Hartlepool 1-0 Cobblers

Hartlepool United

Cobblers

Victoria Park

Attendance: 2,856

Referee:

The Northampton run wasn't going to last forever, but we'll still be disappointed that it ended at bottom of the league Hartlepool on Tuesday night.

It wasn't as if we could turn up at Victoria Park and win, Hartlepool had won their previous two at home, but defeat was still disappointing when they made it three in a row with a one-nil win.

Having failed to take chances the hosts could have been punished had Mirfin not got an important block in to deny Richards yet another goal in an already impressive season.

D'Ath was then denied by Hartlepool 'keeper Flinders just after the break before Morgan (51) made the most of a poor Collins back pass to beat Duke with what proved to be the winner....

Attention now moves away from this game and turns to our next one against Mansfield and we are looking for your view on what way this will go?
