Northampton Draw At Alloa

Northampton Draw At Alloa

Northampton's one and only pre-season friendly whilst in Scotland, for the training camp in Edinburgh was played on Thursday night against Alloa Athletic, which ended in a 1-1 draw.

As is the way with pre-season Chris Wilder decided to try something a little different and deployed a new system going with three at the back and playing with wingbacks.

Having gone close previously Marc Richards then did open the scoring for the Cobblers on eight-minutes, with it looking like that would be enough to see us through to a win at Recreation Park.

Alloa left it last but with 11-minutes to play Kevin Cawley scored an equaliser to see the game end in a one-one draw,

Matt Duke, Daniel Alfei, Ian Morris, Lee Collins (sub Ben Tozer 64), Zander Diamond, Gregor Robertson, Ricky Ravenhill, Darren Carter, John-Joe O`Toole (sub Kaid Mohamed 64), Marc Richards, Ivan Toney (sub Emile Sinclair 64)
Subs not used: Dean Snedker, Connor Roberts, Alex Nicholls, David Moyo

Referee: Mr A Muir
