Alfei The Right Man

Northampton followed up the signing of a left back with Evan Horwood confirmed by bringing in right back Daniel Alfei on Wednesday too, thus completing the defensive recruits this summer.

The Swansea City man, capped at all levels for Wales up to and including U21 level, has first-team experience with the premier league side but this hasn't been the case for a while and he has spent time out on loan with Wrexham, among others, a couple of times.

Last season Alfei came up against the Cobblers when on loan with league 2 rivals Portsmouth with him making 15-appearances during his loan in the second half of last season.

Alfei is a good attacking full back who will offer something to Northampton and should do well during his season-long loan at Sixfields.
