No Third Time Return

No Third Time Return

The rumour mill has been a buzz with speculation that Adebayo Akinfenwa could be set for a third spell with Northampton?

Chris Wilder attempted to bring the former Cobblers striker back to Sixfields in January in a loan capacity to boost the clubs league 2 survival hopes but those attempts proved unsuccessful.

Gillingham, where he returned last summer for his second spell with them, offered him a new one-year deal to stay in league 1 with them but the 32-year-old wanted a two-year contract so decided to decline the offer and is looking for a new club.

The Northampton Chronicle & Echo says that Wilder doesn't intend to make a move for the striker again, a target man is someone that he is after but it isn't going to be Akinfenwa with a left back, a right back and a winger the main targets.

This site is looking for an editor (at least contributor), so if a fan can offer us a genuine opinion from someone that supports them we would love to share it with the masses!
