'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Team News v Hartlepool

League two survival gets all the more difficult for Northampton the fewer games remain, the latest will see them at home this weekend.

Northampton will be hoping that the advantage of being at Sixfields can help them to a much-needed victory over Hartlepool United on Saturday afternoon.

Lee Collins (foot) was lost for the season this week but Zander Diamond was brought in from Burton Albion on loan and should debut for the Cobblers.

Emile Sinclair, Brennan Dickenson and Alan Connell were all on the bench last weekend but should come back into the starting XI.

An 'urgency' to start winning sooner rather than later is something that Chris Wilder knows is the case, improvement has been seen under him but he knows it's time to get some wins.

Ahead of the game Wilder tells BBC Radio Northampton: 'We need results sooner rather than sooner. There is an urgency to collect points, but we have to stay calm, as a staff.

'The supporters have seen the work we've done with bringing players in and I believe they're encouraged that we're on the right track.

'We're ready to win a game of football, but we'll have to work extremely hard against a talented side.

'The players are desperate to get results. We've got some good players in the team now and it's a big week for us. The pressure is on.'
