Sinclair Keen To Impress
Emile Sinclair is looking to get his career back on track and prove that he's good enough to play at a higher level after his disappointing spell with Crawley.
Chris Wilder brought the striker to Northampton on transfer deadline day on a loan deal until the end of the season with the view to a permanent two-year contract in the summer if things work out.
The 26-year-old has confidence in his own ability and looks forward to getting back to playing regular football again and scoring the goals to ensure that the Cobblers can steer clear of league two relegation.
Sinclair told BBC Radio Northampton: 'I want to come here and help Northampton get out of the situation they're in.
'I've got a point to prove to myself and the football world I can play at the higher level.
'I'm coming here confident - I'm always confident when I step onto the pitch, and I'll hopefully start scoring goals from next week.'
Competition for places is now there, which can only be a good thing for the Cobblers.
And competition among the defence looks likely to be picking up too with Wilder close to making his fifth signing since taking over as Cobblers boss. The transfer window might be closed but an unnamed experienced defender, who can sign as he's a free agent, is close to agreeing a contract until the end of the season.
