Hughton Dismisses Calderwood Return Talks

Talk of Colin Calderwood making a surprise return to Northampton as the next boss is being played down by Chris Hughton.

Calderwood, who quit as boss of the Cobblers to take over at Nottingham Forest some six or seven-years ago, is currently acting as Hughton's assistant at Norwich but a flurry of betting activity on him has seen him become the bookies favourite to be named the next boss at Sixfields?

Hughton believes that the rumours are going about simply due to Calderwood's previous with Northampton and the fact that he still lives in the area, reported interest was "news to me", he said in his pre-match press conference on Thursday.

David Cardoza said "one or two developments" were needed before a new boss was named, with Hughton's own position at Norwich under threat perhaps his losing of his own job is one of those developments that the chairman is anticipating....
