Northampton Will Stay Up

Andy King, the next Northampton boss or not, is left in little doubt that the club will avoid league two relegation.

The Cobblers remain rooted to the bottom of the league two table but King knows that David Cardoza isn't going to allow the club to go down without a fight and will offer his full support and backing to the next boss.

It's certainly been a frantic start to the January transfer window with players coming to Sixfields as well as leaving the club.

He told BBC Radio Northampton: 'David Cardoza will give a manager backing and whoever gets that position is lucky.

'He will not allow the club to go down. I'm in a difficult seat but I've got the seat and I'm grateful for that.'

This support has already been shown, before an appointment is made, as Cardoza has sanctioned King's moves into the transfer market already with him allowing the caretaker to secure the signatures of Antonio German and Hallam Hope on loan deals from Gillingham and Everton respectively.

Support from the chairman isn't an issue, support from the players on the pitch is what's needed to dig Northampton out of relegation trouble again.

This site is looking for an editor (at least contributor), so if a fan can offer us a genuine opinion from someone that supports them we would love to share it with the masses!
