Chris Hargreaves Now Odds On

Perhaps the bookies know something that we don't as Chris Hargreaves has been installed as the "hot favourite" to become the next Northampton boss.

Various bookies are tipping the former Cobblers midfielder to step up from a coaching role at Bournemouth and take on his first managerial position in his own right at Sixfields, a job he was also linked with when Gary Johnson was sacked before Aidy Boothroyd landed the post.

Hargreaves moved up from his head of youth development role to become a first team coach with the championship side in the summer but the lure of a return to Northampton would definitely appeal to him you'd think?

Always a firm fans favourite during his spell with the Cobblers, between 2000 and 2004, the former Player of the Year would be a popular appointment, the only problem being his lack of experience at this time and perhaps someone with a little more of this is needed to steer the club away from the threat of relegation?

They do say, when you're a player, if you're good enough you're old enough. Perhaps the same motto should apply to would be managers too, if you're good enough you're ready enough!

This site is looking for an editor (at least contributor), so if a fan can offer us a genuine opinion from someone that supports them we would love to share it with the masses!
