Cobblers Handed Bishop's Stortford Trip

Northampton's opponents in the first round of the FA cup have been revealed.

This weekend the final qualifying round took place, and on Sunday afternoon the draw for the first round proper took place live on ITV.

After the draw Northampton knew that they faced a potential giant killer when they were paired with Bishop's Stortford.

Bishop's Stortford have had to come through the qualifying phases to even get to this stage and they'll be looking to keep that run going and will fancy their chances against us given our struggles so far this season!

I'm worried about this one I've got to admit, had it been at Sixfields then I would have been a little less so but given that we have to travel to the non-league outfit this makes it even harder.

Whatever the outcome this ties will be played on the 9th or 10th November.
