Northampton Welcome Scunthorpe

Northampton Welcome Scunthorpe

Northampton really need to get their season up and running, another chance to get a home win comes when Scunthorpe come to town on Saturday afternoon.

It hasn't been the start to the season any Cobblers fan would have wanted, the disappointment of last seasons play off final defeat seems to continue as the club struggle to get a foothold, can they manage this against the Iron?

If they are to they will have to do this without Ishmel Demontagnac (suspension) but will have Roy O'Donovan back from his own ban. Joe Widdowson (hamstring) and Ian Morris (groin) could miss out though.

Scunthorpe's veteran striker Chris Iwelumo is expected to be return with Etienne Esajas coming through midweek without any problems having played for the first time this season.

A poor opening month to last season has been highlighted more than once, August is now gone so can September bring the positive news that all Cobblers will be looking for! Scunthorpe will be far from easy but it is a game that can be won.

The outcome of this game is the subject of the currently front page poll, and could still do with a vote so do this in the poll to your right...
