Cobblers Monitoring Striker

Liam Dickinson has been out of the game for a whole season but Northampton are believed to be interested in signing him, if possible?

Currently the striker, who spent last season without a club after leaving Southend and then recovering from a broken ankle, is currently on trial with Port Vale.

Aidy Boothroyd has admitted an interest in the 27-year-old, but realises that League One outfit Port Vale are currently in the box seat to sign him but he remains one "of a few" he is looking at.

If Dickinson could be signed, so long as he's over his injury problems, he'd make a really good signing as he's got a proven track record in League Two and higher!
