Door Closed On Defender

Having failed to sign the contract on offer to him Northampton have now withdrawn it from Nathan Cameron.

Weeks of talks have been unable to see an agreement met and as such Aidy Boothroyd, as he told the official website, has decided the club need to move on and the offer is now off the table with the door closed on the defender.

He said: 'There comes a time when you have to move on.

'In this instance we have moved on and that door is now closed.'

The 21-year-old former Coventry man impressed at the end of last season, and would have made a good signing, but if you can't agree a deal you can't agree a deal and the Cobblers will move on and find someone that can!
