Striker Suggests Cobblers Career Is Over

Adebayo Akinfenwa is one of a number of players out of contract this summer, 12 in fact but Kelvin Langmead has agreed a new deal with Northampton.

His future seems to be away from Sixfields though, with him Tweeting this: 'I want to thank the staff, players and especially the FANS for making my time at NTFC memorable, it was special. God bless u all #BMO.'

That was followed up by another suggesting a departure isn't of his making: 'I did not choose to leave Northampton but I whole heartily wish Northampton fc all the very best in the future major luv #BMO.'

There were links to other clubs in January and that seemed to have impacted his game as he only scored three goals, for his season tally of 17, from December onwards and ended the season with a 15-game baron spell.

With a goal ratio of almost one in two for Northampton the 31-year-old has been a great asset to the club, however all things come to an end at some point and it appears his time with The Cobblers is over?
