Another Two-Years For Club Captain

Another Two-Years For Club Captain

Northampton have secured the services of Kelvin Langmead for another two-years.

The Cobblers club captain was set to be out of contract this summer, however he didn't have too much to think about when it came to a new deal.

Despite the disappointing end to the campaign Langmead, as he told the official website, sees good thing ahead. He said: 'It's kind of an unfinished business type scenario.

'This season ended in disappointment but there has been a lot of progress made this season. I've really enjoyed this year, I've got back to really enjoying my football again and I want that to continue.

'I believe in the management here and the way the club is moving forward and I'm desperate to be a part of that.

'The season before last was a very difficult time for the club and to see the strides forward we've made and how far we've come is a credit to everyone involved.'

Being named both the Players' and Supporters Player of the Season shows just how instrumental he has been, and how important it was to secure his future.

Ben Harding, Luke Guttridge, John Johnson, Ben Tozer, Adebayo Akinfenwa, Jake Robinson, Lewis Wilson, Louis Moult, Lee Collins, Roy O'Donovan and Nathan Cameron should all know what the future holds for them later this week.
