'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Focusing On The Job Needing Doing

For Northampton the job is only partly done, until promotion is secured then the play off final trip to Wembley doesn't really mean anything.

That is the view, as he told the official website, of Aidy Boothroyd.

Northampton's boss has praised the achievement to get this far but now want the job to be seen through to cement that achievement, he said: 'Getting to Wembley is an achievement but it's only an achievement if you can finish the job off.

'It's a job that has got one more game to go, at the start of the season we set out to try and win promotion and now we've got an opportunity to achieve that in a one off game.'

To be fair he does have a point!

Boothroyd is also wary of the occasion getting to his players, however if they make sure it doesn't he's confident that promotion to League One will be secured next Saturday.
