'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Praise For Defensive Duo

Four cleansheets in five games, including back-to-back ones in the play off semi final win over Cheltenham, has been highly impressive for Northampton recently.

Aidy Boothroyd, as he BBC Radio Northampton, has praised Nathan Cameron and Clarke Carlisle (along with Lee Nicholls) for the parts they have played.

The Northampton boss concedes that the club have also done well to secure the likes of such players. He said: 'That triangle of Lee, Nathan and Clarke were immense.

'We've managed to persuade a lot of players to come to our club in League Two that probably shouldn't be here. They have played and can play at a higher level.

'But then they've got to perform and I think we have done.'
