Northampton Net Brentford Midfielder

Emmanuel Oyeleke has signed for Northampton in a loan capacity.

The former Chelsea and QPR academy defender has come to Sixfields from Brentford for an initial one-month spell.

Aidy Boothroyd, as he told the official website, had this to say of his new acquisition: "I have watched Manny play a number of times and he will add to our squad.

"He is a strong, athletic, combative midfield player who can play anywhere across the midfield or at full-back.

"He is here to challenge for a first-team place and to gain experience. I think we can help Manny and I know he can help us."

The 20-year-old comes highly rated by his new boss then, time will tell if the fullback can produce the goods for The Cobblers with Oyeleke in line for his debut against Gillingham tonight.
