Cobblers win moves them into the play-offs

Northampton 1-0 Burton
19th January 2013
15:00
Sixfields Stadium

One of the few League Two games to survive the weekend weather was Burton's trip to Northampton on Saturday afternoon, however it was The Cobblers celebrating.

Northampton had a host of first half chances but the sides went into the break goal less.

Chances were something that Burton struggled to create, especially in the first half but in the second half could have gone ahead but for better finishing.

Having been denied by the post previously Adebayo Akinfenwa (69) finally broke the deadlock for The Cobblers just past the midway point of the second half.

That goal proved enough to give Northampton a 1-0 win and move them into the play-off positions as a result.
