Cobblers beat in-form Fleetwood

Northampton 3-1 Fleetwood
5th January 2013
15:00
Sixfields

Northampton recorded an impressive home win over highflying Fleetwood at Sixfields on Saturday afternoon.

Jake Robinson (7) needed just a few minutes to open the scoring for Northampton, who had a host of other chances to further extend the lead. The second finally did come just before the break when Robinson (41) added his, and The Cobblers', second.

Minutes into the second half Clive Platt (53) made it three-nil for the hosts with the only blemish on the day an injury-time strike for Fleetwood from Jamie Allen (90+3) to see the game end with a 3-1 Cobblers win.
