Trio leave Northampton

Three players have left Northampton, and returned to their parent clubs, following the completion of loan spells with The Cobblers.

Danny East came in from Hull in August, with the defender featuring in 19 games. Forward Henoc Mukendi arrived from Liverpool at the start of the season and he played an "unlucky" 13 times with Chris Smith returning to Swindon with the defender having failed to make an appearance since his arrival in late November.

Aidy Boothroyd, as you would expect, has voiced his appreciation to the players and their clubs and wishes them well for the future.

Their departures may well allow The Cobblers boss to bring in some fresh faces to help freshen things up at Sixfields?
