Former Cobbler Championship bound?

Last season Billy McKay was turning out for Northampton in League Two, come January he could be playing in the Championship?

It's being reported by Sky Sports that the former Cobblers striker is being "tracked" by Leicester and Nottingham Forest, among others.

The 24-year-old left Sixfields to join Scottish outfit Inverness on a free transfer in the summer and has bagged an impressive 18-goals thus far this season, which included 12 in his last 7 games!

Who would have thought that this time last year the Northern Ireland international could potentially be playing Championship football in a couple of weeks time?
