No rushing Northampton defender

Having paid the price of previously "rushing back" someone else Aidy Boothroyd has no intention of doing the same with Luke Guttridge.

Boothroyd, as he told The Chronicle & Echo, admits that he possibly brought John Johnson back "too soon" and an injury setback could have been as a result of that?

As important as Guttridge is to Northampton, and the player himself (who travelled with the squad at the weekend) wants to play again, The Cobblers boss has no intention of getting him back into the first-team frame until he is fully ready and that has to be a good call from Boothroyd.
