Northampton left it late but eventually managed to secure a point at Torquay on Saturday afternoon.
A fine goal line clearance prevented Northampton from going into the break ahead, with that the best opportunity for either side in the opening 45-minutes.
It was Torquay that took the lead just past the hour mark when Ryan Jarvis (62) scored, and that looked like it would give the hosts the points.
Having missed a great chance to level Kelvin Langmead (90+2) made no mistake in injury-time as he rescued Northampton a point in the 1-1 draw.
