'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Double blow!

As if losing Luke Guttridge for up to three-months with a broken foot wasn't bad enough Northampton could be without John Johnson for up to six-weeks too!

Aidy Boothroyd, as he told the official website on Thursday, confirmed that a knee injury will see him out for four-six weeks.

The Cobblers boss isn't moaning too much as he knows injuries are part and parcel of football: 'John Johnson has nipped a cartilage in his knee so that's going to be four to six weeks.'

Even so Boothroyd still hopes to dip into the loan market: 'They are two quite big injuries but this is why you have a squad and that's what the loan market is there for as well.

'I've made some enquiries in the last couple of days and we've got a few things to tie up on a loan signing so hopefully we should have something to announce in the next few days, either before or after the weekend.'
