Northampton Town v Gillingham

2nd October 2012
19:45
Sixfields Stadium

Northampton battled back from 2-0 and 3-2 down to draw 3-3 with Burton at the weekend, while league leaders Gillingham suffered defeat for the first time, going down 2-1 to Rochdale. These sides meet at Sixfields on Tuesday night.

Clive Platt (calf) is free to return for Northampton having failed a fitness test at the weekend, he'll probably be named on the substitutes bench though. Lewis Wilson (dead leg) could also return.

Shane Higgs (Achilles tendon) is battling back from nine-months out with injury, but the keeper is expected to be on the bench with Ben Harding (ankle) and Seth Nana Ofori-Twumasi (knee) both out for the hosts.

Gillingham are without Danny Jackman and Bradley Dack (both suspension) following recent sendings off. Jackman begins a three-match suspension while Dack completes a similar spell out.

Charlie Lee (leg) requires a fitness test but Jack Payne (groin) looks unlikely to be fit enough but Danny Kedwell and Charlie Allen are in contention for returns to the starting XI.
