1) How's the season been going to far?
Better than I expected. Although we didn't play any of the big clubs in the first few games of the season, we could only beat what was in front of us and did that so it's good to know that there are worse teams than us in the league, especially after a poor second half to last season and a dreadful pre-season campaign. Obviously losing our manager after two successive 4-1 home wins knocked us a bit, but both Jason Dodd and Kevin Dillon have sorted out the defence and we've picked up creditable away points at Rotherham and Notts County in recent weeks - we just need to remember how to score goals again!
2) Kevin Dillon was recently made your manager. Do you think he will be able to work the wonders that Gary Waddock has done in recent years for Aldershot?
I think Kevin Dillon could work out to be a very shrewd appointment for us. With our budget and size of our club we were never going to attract a big name, so to get someone who's coached in the Premier League at Reading under managers like Alan Pardew and Steve Coppell and with a UEFA pro licence is very pleasing. I doubt he'll do as well as Waddock did, purely because a club our size is unlikely to go much further. When Waddock came in we were one of the bigger fish in the Conference, but now we're very much in the small fry - although Dagenham & Redbridge are certainly an example of a club much smaller than ourselves challenging in this league.
3) Where do you realistically think you will finish come May?
It's still difficult to say. We got off to a decent start, but hadn't played many of the top teams so it was difficult to judge how good we were and then we lost our manager so it'll depend on what sort of long-term impact that'll have. Now we've played some of the top sides in the league and done ok, losing by the odd goal or getting a draw, but we haven't managed to beat any of them. Last season we fell apart badly after Christmas, but I think we learned a lot from that and wont do the same this time round. We'll hopefully be challenging for a play off spot, but I feel we'll finish in mid-table. I'll say 12th.
4) Which players are likely to cause Northampton problems?
It depends who's on form to be honest. Kirk Hudson is always a threat from midfield with his pace, Scott Donnelly has the ability to score and assist from midfield and Marvin Morgan, when on form, can be a deadly finisher. Also our Venezuelan goalkeeper, Mikhael Jamiez-Ruiz has been in inspired form recently.
5) Are there any Northampton players who you are worried about facing?
I'll be honest, I don't really know much about Northampton, but I'm guessing that Akinfenwa will be a threat up front.
6) Finally, what's your prediction for Tuesday's game?
After three consecutive 0-0 draws in the league I think it's time we found our shooting boots, especially at home. I'll go for a 1-0 home win.
Thanks to Rob Holder for answering this week's questions.
